Handling

• Dammar in pieces is soluble in oil of turpentine 50024 / 50102 or turpentine substitute 50019.
• For a standard dammar solution please mix 1 part of dammar in pieces with 3 parts of a solvent mentioned above (per weight). Our recommendation: Pour in the mixture of product and solvent in a clean, sealable container, e.g. in a glass bottle, and put/lay this down so that the product surface is maximum for a better solubility. Solving the resin takes a little time: As a guide for a total amount of 400 g dammar solution you should calculate about 6 hours. To accelerate the process it is helpful to shake the content of the container in between for several short times. (Important: The process should be done at room temperature – the resin solution should not be heated!)
• Please clean tools as soon as possible with turpentine substitute 50019, oil of turpentine 50024 / 50102 or brush cleaner 50051 / 50052.
• A dried dammar solution remains soluble in oil of turpentine 50024 / 50102, turpentine substitute 50019 or varnish remover 50060 over a long period.
• Close immediately after use.
• Store in a cool and dry place.
• Individual pre-tests are required.
