Handling

    • Shake well before use.
    • Spray at room temperature by moving the can from one side to the other and from top to bottom and holding the can at a distance of 30 – 40 cm from the vertically positioned or slightly inclined and completely dry object. (Make the change in spray direction away from the picture!)
    • May only be applied to the layer of paint after it has dried completely (drying time for oil colours: at least 8 – 12 month; drying time for thin acrylic coulours: approx. 3 days, for thicker acrylic layers: approx. 1 – 2 weeks; drying time for gouache: approx. 1 day).
    • The dried varnish layer remains soluble in turpentine substitute 50019, oil of turpentine 50024 / 50102 or varnish remover 50060 over a long period.
    • The varnish coats normally used in practice give no special UV protection to the paints used! For this reason, we recommend that you use high-quality and lightfast artists´ paints from the outset as far as possible.
    • The subsequent varnishing of the surface of a picture produced using materials low in binding agents, especially pastels, gouache and water-colours, may cause the colour shade to become significantly darker. Varnishes also may increase transparency of some grounds, like e.g. papers.
    • The product is also suitable for inkjet-prints, art prints or photos.
    • Any clogged-up spray heads are best cleaned using acetone.
    • Store in a cool and dry place.
    • Protect from sunlight and do not expose to temperatures exceeding 50°C (122°F).
    • Individual pre-tests are required.
