Final varnish for paintings in oil for application by ball of the thumb or with a lint-free cloth. Rub in very thinly; after the varnish layer has completely dried (approx. 24 h), the initially matt varnish becomes satin matt by carefully brushing.

Thinner: Turpentine substitute (50019)

 

 

Handlling

  • The product is ready to use.
  • May only be applied by ball of the thumb or with a lint-free cloth at room temperature to the layer of oil paint after it has dried completely, i.e. after 8 – 12 month at the earliest. Rub in very thinly.
  • After the layer has completely dried (approx. 24 hours) the initial matt varnish becomes satin-glossy by carefully polishing with a soft brush.
  • The dried varnish layer remains soluble in oil of turpentine 50024 / 50102, turpentine substitute 50019 or varnish remover 50060 over a long period.
  • The varnish coats normally used in practice give no special UV protection to the paints used. For this reason, we recommend that you use high-quality and lightfast oil paints from the outset as far as possible.
  • Close immediately after use.
  • Store in a cool and dry place.
  • Individual pre-tests are required.
