Large-sized water-colour paintings directly applied on canvas, painting boards or wood – this was not imaginable in former times - but is nowadays possible due to various AQUA primers from Schmincke !
With AQUA primer fine (50702) and AQUA primer coarse (50703) you can prepare surfaces in large-sizes on which you can directly apply the water-colour similar to painting on water-colour paper. These two primers are perfectly adapted to water-colours regarding absorbency and nature of surface, that means that colour flow as well as glaze and many other facilities can be achieved easily as usual.
