Dear friends of finest artists‘ colours!

Finally, summer provides confidence and lures us outside, to enjoy the sunshine or even paint in the great outdoors, or the city - depending on your preference. Many of you will make sketches that will later become paintings in oil, acrylic, pastels, or watercolour in the studio. To ensure that these are well protected, today we are introducing you to a multi-talent among fixatives that you may not even know about – our AEROSPRAY B72.

The issues of sustainability and the protection of people and the environment are an important point in Schmincke’s company philosophy. We would like to introduce you to the measures we take and how this also affects our products.

Finally, we have some inspiration for you, this time on portrait painting in oil.

CREATIVE BLOG: Portrait in oil with MUSSINI®

After many experiments in portrait painting, a palette has emerged for Thomas Beecht which allows him to create every conceivable skin colours. He uses only 8 colours in his portraits, which creates a greater colour harmony within the painting.

Due to the high pigmentation of MUSSINI® resin-oil colours, the purity of the colours is maintained even if the colours were created by mixing 3 or 4 colours.
