The core element of Schmincke's strategy is the production of finest artists' colours of the highest quality ‘made in Germany.’ In this context long-term thinking, sustainable action throughout the entire supply chain, combined with highly personalised customer service and excellent customer care are very important to us.

As part of this strategy we were able to acquire the neighbouring site to our headquarters in Erkrath, covering approx. 9,000 square metres and including a small production hall, thus creating a basis for future development. The existing hall is currently being converted into a modern multi-purpose and logistics hall and equipped with a large photovoltaic system on the roof and modern electricity storage facilities. This will enable the hall to be operated completely self-sufficiently in the future and will also generate a large electricity surplus. Our long-term goal is to produce and operate in a completely CO2-neutral manner.
