Please note that these products are suitable exclusively for indoor use.
Acrylic Bronzes
The acrylic bronzes are ready for use and perfect for creating metallic effects on acrylic paintings and other grease-free surfaces such as paper, cardboard, wood, metal, plastic or plaster.
The colours Rich Gold, Rich Pale Gold, Pale Gold, Copper, and Silver are available in 150 ml bottles.
Application
Apply the acrylic bronzes either pure or slightly diluted with water using a brush on the desired surface. They dry smear- and waterproof.
Aqua Bronzes
Aqua bronzes have been specially developed to create shiny metal effects on gouache or watercolour paintings and on weakly absorbent surfaces such as paper, cardboard, illustration board or canvas.
The colours Rich Gold, Rich Pale Gold, Pale Gold, Copper, and Silver are available in 20 ml jars.
Application
Mix the required amount of Aqua Bronzes shortly before use on a palette with some water. The degree of gloss and coverage can be adjusted depending on the amount of water. Aqua Bronzes dry smear-resistant but not waterproof. Please note that they are not suitable for plaster, metal or plastic.
Oil Bronzes
Oil bronzes allow for shimmering metal effects on oil paintings and other primed surfaces such as wood, metal, or plaster. They should be used in combination with the Schmincke Bronze Medium (50032).
The colors Rich Gold, Rich Pale Gold, Pale Gold, Copper, and Silver are available in 50 ml jars.
Application
Mix the required amount of colour, consisting of 3 parts Oil Bronze and 2 parts Bronze Medium with a palette knife. If necessary the colour can be diluted with some turpentine substitute (50019). For particularly absorbent surfaces, we recommend treating the surface beforehand with some Bronze Medium diluted with turpentine substitute. Oil bronzes dry smudge- and waterproof. The colour film remains soluble after drying with turpentine oil or turpentine substitute.
