The assortment
Aqua Linoprint inks offer diverse possibilities for single and multicolour linoprinting and material printing. All 15 linoprint colours along with the 3 effect colours, are based on Gum Arabic and contain high-quality organic and non-organic pigments. They are characterised by excellent lightfastness (exclusively 4-5 stars) and unique colour intensity.
Aqua Linoprint – ready to use
All colours are ready for use, can be mixed and also diluted with water if necessary. The perfect open times allow perfect processing, achieving sharp and uniform printing. Aqua Linoprint inks dry within 15 minutes, are smudge-resistant but not waterproof and can be easily overprinted. The linoprint mediums provide additional creative effect possibilities.
Various linoprint techniques
In addition to the linoprinting technique with a specialized press, preferred by many experienced artists there is also the option of stamp making. For example, the linoleum plate or a carved rubber plate can be used like a stamp. Woodcuts are also suitable for this method. In all techniques the linoprint colour is thinly rolled out on a glass plate and then applied thinly to the printing block with a linoleum roller. The design is transferred to the printing surface by pressing it evenly and calmly.
Linocut Substrates
Various materials are suitable as substrates for linoprinting. In addition to smooth paper and coloured cardboard, felt or fabric can also be printed among other materials.
